operation known as 'The Initiative'.

Riley also worked at Sunnydale University
under Professor 'Maggie Walsh' who
was also part of government operation.

Riley's friendship with Buffy resulted in him
leaving The Initiative and becoming part of
the scooby gang.

His relationship with Buffy did not last and
Riley rejoined the Government and left
Sunnydale.
