Spike formerly known as William was
a poet in London back in the 1800s.

After being made a fool of in front of
his beloved Cecily William was turned
into a vampire by Drusilla.

Spike was to wreak havoc across
countries with Angelus, Darla and Drusilla.

Upon one of his returns to Sunnydale Spike
was captured by The Initiative, a government
operation who researched Demons. He was
implanted with a chip that would not allow him to
harm humans.

Spike reluctantly spent more and more time with the scoobies and ended up falling for the Slayer.

In an attempt to become the big bad he was once, Spike went in search of a Demon who could remove the chip.

Spike however got more than he bargained for when his soul was restored.
