Buffy manages to escape the crypt and rescue Willow and Xander from Darla and the other vampires but Jesse has been taken.

Accompanied again by Xander, Buffy attempts to rescue Jesse, who unknown to them has already been turned into a vampire.

Escaping the tap that had been set for them Buffy, Xander, Willow and Giles arrive at the Bronze to stop Luke, who is acting as The Masters vessel.

Buffy outsmarts Luke and whilst he cowers from the light believing it to be the sun, she stakes him.

Xander inadvertantly kills Jesse in the confusion that ensues, although the majority of vampires are killed the one called Darla escapes.
