Cordelia is campaigning to be crowned Sunnydale High's May Queen. A boy called Mitch who is Cordelias prospective date for the occasion, is clubbed by a bat in the locker room. He claims that the bat just floated acting on it's own.

Harmony, one of Cordelia's friends seems to fall down stairs later on that day, but cliams that she was pushed by someone. Buffy hears laughing and traces it to a room used by the band. In the ceiling space she finds the Sunnydale year book of Marcie Ross, who nobody can remember. On looking at the book it is clear that although the girl was not known by people, they had signed the book "Have a nice Summer".

After being treated as invisible for so long especially by Cordelia and her followers, the power of the Hellmouth had literally made her invisible. She was now getting her own back by creating havoc with Cordelias life.

Buffy through listening carefully to her opponent manages to stop her from mutilating Cordelias face.

Whilst Marcie struggles beneath the curtain that Buffy traps her in a couple of FBI suits walk in and take Marcie away to be rehabilitated.
